Biomedical engineering students presented enabling technology projects and prototypes during the April 30th Design Day at Wayne State University in Detroit. During the four year program, BME students create three client-based projects. This year, freshmen designed a system to allow an individual who cannot bear weight on either foot to move around a confined space such as a house, inspired by the wife of a WSU professor who broke both ankles last year.
