About our team:

Team 7 consists of Georgia Tech, ITESM, University of Cincinnati (UC), University of Toronto (UofT) and McMaster University. The name of our RSMS vehicle is ‘Jolt’. Team 7 completely changed the design from last year with based on the PACE judges feedback. UC has taken up the lead for the second year of the project and is responsible for assigning tasks and driving the project. Georgia Tech being the Industrial Design School led the efforts for the complete design change. Once the ID was changed, the engineering schools divided up the tasks between themselves. McMaster have designed the chassis and the body frame along with the expansion mechanism. UofT has designed the steering system while ITESM has designed all the electronics, seats and have also analyzed the environmental impact of manufacturing the vehicle. UC being the leader of the team has taken up diverse projects ranging from assembly simulation, suspension and braking system design, CFD, crash simulation and also developed the business plan. The second year of the project has seen the team collaborate effectively and work towards a cohesive team project.
